Hey guys! What’s up?
I want to show y’all who I am as a person, not just an artist! I also don’t like the idea of calling the people I work with “clients”, I like friends much more. SO as your friend, here’s me in a nutshell!
If you’re into personality types (like me) you’ll appreciate this. I’m an INFP, Leo & Enneagram 7! Basically I’m just trying to live a really, really fun life. While I love being around people, I’m actually an introvert so working alone from home is kind of the best thing ever. I’m really in love with the feeling of being alive & different things bring that out in me. Exploring new places, driving with the windows rolled down, super intense worship music & concerts are just a few of them. When I’m not working I’m probably either traveling or on Pinterest planning a trip. While I’m not a very emotional person, good movies & poetry books (specifically Atticus) realllllly gets me in my feels. I may or may not have a La Croix addiction & I’m currently binge watching The 100. OH & I’m constantly curious/ intrigued about the world & overall think it’s just a really freakin’ cool place.
I’ve always loved the idea of preserving a moment while creating a memory, but didn’t actually recognize the power of photography until my senior year of high school. Once I started, I couldn't stop. I was addicted to how my photos made people feel & the inspiration I got from constantly looking at other people’s work. I declared a Studio Art major before even starting college & my very first class was drawing. My concentration was in photography & creating art for class was an entirely different world. It challenged me, encouraged me & critiqued me for 4 years & I truthfully believe it made me a better artist. It’s also where my love & understanding for film came from. I was required to take 2 film classes before I was allowed to take digital & I’m so thankful for that. I’m hoping that I’ll one day be able to have a film add-on because I’m so in love with it’s rawness. It took me a while to find my style, but I always knew I wanted my work to contain a lot of sun flares & neutral tones. I also wanted it to make you feel something- an authentic moment with an artistic twist.
I grew up in a small town outside of Greenville, SC & I’m currently shooting in both California & South Carolina. I’m permanently moving to California soon & I‘m STOKED about it! I’ll also be taking my 12 year old Aussie mix who still looks like a puppy stuffed animal. His name is Yogi but he is often called Yogsters with the occasional Yogurt. Family & friends are everything to me & one of my favorite things in the world is just sitting around a bonfire with people that I love. My favorite band is LANY (again, all the feels) & I love pretty much anything coconut flavored.
